Nobel Medical College Encourages Nepal's T20 World Cup Qualification

Kathmandu: Nobel Medical College has stepped forward to boost the spirits of the Nepali cricket team currently competing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 cricket qualifiers. In a heartwarming gesture, the college has announced a substantial prize of NPR 1.5 million to motivate and honor the team's efforts. Furthermore, the college has pledged an additional NPR 500,000 if the Nepali team secures qualification for the World Cup.

The announcement, made by the Biratnagar-based medical college, underscores the institution's profound respect for Nepali cricket and its dedicated players. In an official press release, the college emphasized the role of sports in unifying Nepal and its people, acknowledging its historical significance.

The Nepali cricket team is currently displaying commendable performance in the 'ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Asia Qualifier' being held in Kathmandu. Nobel Medical College has expressed deep pride in Nepal's achievements on the cricketing stage and recognizes the significance of World Cup qualification.

The award announcement letter was presented to Chatur Bahadur Chandali, President of Nepal Cricket Association, by the Chief Executive Officer of the college, Bhogendra Prasad Upadhyay.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, the former President and Managing Director of Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital, and currently a member of the House of Representatives for Morang Region No. 3, voiced his passion for Nepali cricket. He stated, "I and my organization are thrilled to collaborate for the advancement of sports and youth. I remain committed to nurturing Nepali cricket."

The college's statement highlights their longstanding commitment to social responsibility, particularly in providing free and subsidized healthcare services to athletes. Additionally, the institution has a history of organizing free health camps in remote areas, offering vital healthcare services to thousands of individuals in need.
